I needed a new picture for over my fireplace in my living room. I did a painting to compliment the colours of the room. It is quite peaceful. I did this in my dark unfinished basement. I guess you don't need light to see the light!

I joined the Visual Arts Club in Florida. We go out every Monday to a different location and paint. It is fun, the weather is always great and I get to experience new locations that I would never think of going to. This week we went to Snook Haven. Here I am enjoying the sunshine (well actually I found some shade).

I always look forward to coming home to Muskoka! Moving to my new home in Bracebridge has provided new opportunities for exploring and painting our beautiful landscape. I'm waiting for spring to arrive and dreaming of those beautiful trilliums. Below is a painting I did last Spring. Click on the "Landscape" link to view other paintings from Muskoka.

This painting reminds me of younger days when I lived in Montreal. SOLD at the HAS ArtSpace art show. For some reason this one will always stay alive in my heart. The couple walking down the lane seem to be together, yet alone, each with their own thoughts and dreams on this wintery day.

Yesterday was a great day! The symposium was hughly entertaining and well attended. I did an experiential workshop where people could participate in painting a "Muskoka Landscape". Although we did not finish, we made a really good start.

I intended to submit a painting into the Festival this year, but Suzie really wanted my "Georgetown Garden". Better to have a person who likes your artwork than to just have it on display. Thanks Suzie, don't worry I'll create something next year.
|Georgetown Garden - This painting was inspired by a poem I found on the internet. |
Approach my Soul,
Dressed in White.
Only with Kisses and Red Poppies,
Can I love Thee.
